China 's International Forum and Exhibition of Telecom Value-Added Service (VAS Forum) is the most influential and prestigious telecom value added industry conference each year. It is sponsored by China Association of Communication Enterprises, organized by China Association of Communication Enterprises Value-added Service Committee (VASC), and supported by China Telecom, China Netcom, China Mobile and China Unicom.
VAS Forum is organized with the four major goals in mind:
• Analyze telecom value-added markets, and discuss the development and application of the newest technology.
• Understand the policy environment of domestic value-added services development and build cooperating relationships with carriers.
• Build a communication platform between carriers and telecom value-added service enterprises.
• To improve the quality and level of product development in value-added services through in depth discussions and high level idea exchanges..
In the past 4 years, VAS forum attracted top executives from carriers from China Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Asia-Pacific, North America and Europe, as well as experts, scholars and entrepreneurs all around the world within the telecom value added industry to gather in Beijing, and sit in open forum and close discussion sections, exchanging the newest technological and business advancement in telecom value added industry. It has been the event that excites the entire industry each year.
This year, VAS2006 has chosen"Application Service Innovation" as the focusing point of all discussions. The event is divided into two days.
Day one (Nov. 1 st ):
• Boarder range discussion of service and application innovation and brand value creation.
• China Telecom, China Netcom, and China Unicom will be giving keynote speeches during the conference.
• Major mobile handset manufactures and big players from the content world will also join the discussion.
Day two (Nov. 2 nd ): The 1st China Mobile Game International Summit
• Discuss issues and development within the mobile game industry, which is thought to be the most innovative application in the telecom value added services.
• A smaller group of mobile game gurus and industry related experts will join the open forum in search of real solutions to the industry's current problems.
In VAS2005 last year, top executives from T-Mobile and NTTDoCoMo attend the forum. There will be top executives from at least two international carriers participate in this conference this year. Guests can choose to attend either day of the conference or stay for the entire two days. Companies willing to promote themselves will also get the opportunity to set up booth and showcase their products.
